Well now I can’t say as I’ve ever gotten a gift from a bride before arriving to Kate’s aunt and uncle’s place where she and her gaggle of gorgeous bridesmaids prepared for the big day. But there it was- a lovely little gift bag with gifts for not one, but BOTH of my kids. “Well now, your babies are giving up being with their daddy for the day so he can photograph my wedding, so I thought it was the least I could to!” she said by way of explanation. Just wow.
This is the unique brand of thoughtfulness that characterized the whole wedding day… from the extravagance of the floral design by Kate’s sweet uncle, Josh Borden of BDG Blooms (who, conveniently enough for Kate and Mike, happens to be a wedding planner and an extraordinary floral artist! Snap!), to the cuisine, to the meticulously thought-out color accents in the bridal party’s attire, Kate and Mike’s wedding was a delight for the senses.
It was a total honor to be a part of it. Thank you guys so much for having me. Here’s to a lifetime of love, happiness and laughter (and kids!). Heh. Hope you absolutely LOVE your images!
